ALCOHOLISM IS DESTROYING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES.

Bars are places where people go to get drunk or pick up a person for evil purposes. Bars are places where evil errupts such as fights, robberies, stabbings and lust. Food is not the reason for being there. Bars are found in most good restaurants as if consuming alcohol is important to enjoying a good meal. It is not! It is served there because it is a lucrative money maker. Americans should get on the bandwagon against social drinking as it has the use of tobacco in public places.

A BAR TO HEAVEN - A DOOR TO HELL

A lifetime convict in Joliet Prison wrote the following poem:

"The saloon is sometimes called a bar, That's true:

A bar to Heaven, a door to hell,

Whoever named it, named it well.

A bar to manliness and wealth,

A door to want and broken health,

A bar to honor, pride and fame;

A door to grief and sin and shame,

A bar to hope, a bar to prayer,

A door to darkness and despair,

A bar to honored, useful life,

A door to brawling, senseless strife,

A bar to all that's true and brave,

A door to every drunkard's grave,

A bar to joys that home impart,

A door to tears and aching hearts,

A bar to Heaven, a door to hell,

Whoever named it, named it well!!

Proverbs 20:1 "Wine [is] a mocker, strong drink [is] raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise."
